The Zhengzhou Municipal Bureau of Fire Protection has issued a new regulation stipulating that all Christmas trees must be equipped with fire extinguishers in a bid to reduce the number of blazes caused by Christmas trees in the Henan provincial capital.
Christmas trees, usually made from highly flammable materials, are currently appearing in local restaurants, hotels, bars, bathhouses, cinemas, disco halls and other entertainment venues.
