Established in 1953, the Southern Song and Dance Troupe (originally named Guangdong Ethnic Song and Dance Troupe) is a professional art performance group under the direct leadership of Department of Culture of Guangdong Province.
Inspired by daily life and with an aim to inherit and develop the national tradition of folk art, the Troupe has produced and performed a large amount of repertoires, for which it earns a lot of state and provincial honors.
Ever invited to perform in so many countries such as Vietnam, UK, Singapore, France, Spain, Italy, Germany, Austria, Holland, Belgium, Luxemburg, South Africa, Mauritius, Malaysia, Japan, Tunis, Turkey and so on, the Troupe enjoy a soaring reputation around the world.
