The Asian Reading Room in "Home of Asia", Barcelona, France
A book collection is donated by the government of South China's Guangdong Province to the "Home of Asia" organization in Barcelona, Spain on June 22nd , as an act of the cultural exchanges between the two regions.
The collection, altogether including around 2000 books, covers various subjects like Politics, Economics, Society, etc.
The activity is part of Guangdong's continued culture weeks in Spain beginning from June 21st throughout 25th, just right after its the delegation's impressive presentation ends in Marseilles, France on 20th.
"Home of Asia" is a local organization engaged in international cultural exchange. Well equipped with public facilities like Asian Reading Room, Asian Movie & TV Database, Internet Room, etc., it provides local people a better way to understand more about social and cultural development of China and as well as other Asian countries.
The organization also offers more than 40 courses related to oriental Asian culture such as languages and Qigong (a self-healing art that combines movement and meditation).
The whole building of "Home of Asia", with Chinese TV programme of CCTV played on the hall's screen, and all kinds of books and brochures about Chinese culture on the shelves, is permeated with an atmosphere of China.
