Russia wins men's quadruple sculls gold

The Russian quartet, gold medalists in 2004 Poznan World Cup, lifted men's quadruple sculls gold of Athens Olympic rowing, finishing in 5:56.85 on Sunday (Aug 22).
 
Czech Republic, silver medalist in 2003 Milan world championships, finished in 5:57.43 and took the silver.

As 2002 Munich World Cup winners, Ukraine netted the bronze in 5:58.87.

Germany, winners of 2003 world championships, came out fifth.
