"Passengers" in the drilling
The new Baiyun International Airport of Guangzhou, capital of South China's Guangdong Province successfully finishes the third drilling this morning (July 26th), making full preparation for its up-coming operation.
The one-hour drilling with 1400 "passengers" and 27 "flights" involves all equipment and establishment for an all-round examination of the related operating system.
Unlike the first two, this drill, with fewer "passengers" and "flights", aims to test the modification work and optimized procedure, mainly focusing on test of the transfer procedure and outfield information systems.
New Baiyun airport, said to be the largest and the most advanced in the nation, will hold its completion ceremony on August 2nd and will start operation on August 5th, according to a conference of the airport on July 5th.
