Before the starting of the third session of China’s 12th National People’s Congress (NPC), the deputies of NPC from Guangdong had a joint review for their proposals, from which the issues relate to network security are under high attention.

Zhong Tianhua, the chairman of China Mobile Communication Corporation in Guangdong, showed his NPC proposal about accelerating the legislation of network security. “The previous regulation of network security had deficiencies on protecting citizens’ information safety and the current regulation pays few attention on terms of service,” Zhong said. Besides, he pointed out that there is lack of specific facilities for protecting the legal attribute of virtual property.

In order to improve regulation of network security, “It is reasonable to explicit the duties of relative management institutions, implement network real-name system, establish a system for network security censorship and improve electronic trading secrecy, ” Zhong suggested.

Another NPC member from Guangdong, Ma Huateng, who is the CEO of Tencent Company in Shenzhen, presented his proposals for NPC this year, attached high attention on the issue of reinforcing protection for network copyright.
