Astana Expo is ready to greet Guangdong visitors

With less than two months to go for Astana Expo-2017, an international exposition scheduled to take place between June 10 and September 10, 2017 in Astana, Kazakhstan, a promotion event was heldthis morning in Guangzhou, Capital of Guangdong Province.

Organized by CCPIT (China Council for the Promotion of International Trade) Guangdong Committee and National company of Astana EXPO-2017, the promotion was attended by representatives of the organizing department of the Astana Expo, Chairman and Manager of the EREN Corporation of Kazakhstan and those Guangdong companies interested in visiting or doing business with Kazakhstan.

Speaking on the occasion, Cai Yile, the Director of the Exhibition Department of the CCPIT Guangdong Committee announced that Guangdong will hold a 3-day Guangdong Week from Aug.18 – 20 in the China Pavilion of Astana EXPO-2017.

“As CCPIT Guangdong takes the lead in organizing the province’s participation for the expo, we will give a series of events such as energy development forum, exhibition of new energy products, artistic performances, photo exhibition, etc.”

Cai also indicated that as Kazakhstan is one of the main countries along the Silk Road Economic Belt, this Expo is significant for the China –Kazakhstan cooperation. Guangdong will catch the opportunity to strengthen the energy and economic ties with countries in Central Asia area.

It is said that three cities – Guangzhou, Meizhou and Huizhou will give road show during the Guangdong Week.

Kaliyev Ayan, Kazakhstan's representative of the organizing department of the Astana Expo predicted that Expo-2017 would undoubtedly become a successful event of the year. He also mentioned the high dynamics of development of tourism cooperation between Kazakhstan and China.

Themed Future energy, Astana Expo is the first world expo held in the Central Asia Area. Currently, 112 countries and 18international organizations have confirmed to take part in the expo. The China Pavilion, with a planned area of about 1,000 square meters, will be one of the largest international pavilions. The theme of the China Pavilion is 'Future Energy, Green Silk Road'. It mainly shows China's idea and responsibility in energy transformation in the development of future energy in the world. It is predicted that the expo will attract over 5 million visitors.

During the event, the expo’s organizer also revealed that Kazakhstan is going to grant visa-upon-arrival to Chinese visitors from June.
