Eight preferential policies designed for Hong Kong and Macao residents have been implemented in Qianhai, which enable them to be employed and live there more conveniently.
An information session was held Thursday in Qianhai to release the detailed polices.
According to the authority, residents from Hong Kong and Macao can now be employed directly by Qianhai enterprises without a proof of employment permit. They can also apply for social security and tax subsidies without the employment permit.
Those who have worked in Qianhai can now apply for the housing fund as Shenzhen citizens.
To encourage more talents to work in Qianhai, the authority has allowed 137 architecture-related companies to conduct business in Qianhai, which means more Hong Kong and Macao professionals, such as certified accountants, architects, social workers and certified tax agents, can practice there.
Qianhai has also built and purchased over 4,700 apartments to secure tenancy, for which Hong Kong and Macao applicants have priority in applying.
The authority said there are 194 Hong Kong and Macao residents enjoying the tax subsidy, 600 Hong Kong college intern students working there and 158 Hong Kong and Macao startup teams being incubated there.
