22 foreign advisors and observers will give their advice on building an innovative Guangdong to transform the economic development pattern, in the International Consultative Conference on the Future Economic Development of Guangdong Province (GDICC) 2007 plenary, held on Nov.15 -16 in Guangzhou.
Three topics, 鈥淚ncentive Mechanism for Innovation鈥, 鈥淚nternational Technology Innovation Cooperation鈥 and 鈥淐apital Readiness for Innovation鈥 will be discussed in the closed-door conference, said Li Chunhong, Deputy Secretary-General of Guangdong People鈥檚 Government Office, in a press conference yesterday (Nov. 5).
A total of 17 advisors and 5 observers from famous multinational companies or institutes will attend the conference, 15 of which are from manufacturing and service sector.
Li said the think tanks鈥 advice will help Guangdong province to restructure its economic development pattern which used to rely on mass labor and energy sources consuming.
To strengthen the cooperation between advisors and the province鈥檚 departments and enterprises, four forums will be held on Nov.16, themed 鈥淚ndustrial Strategic Alliance and Innovation鈥, 鈥淔inancial Innovation and the Change of Economic Development Pattern鈥, 鈥淚nnovation and Company Growth鈥 and 鈥淚nnovation and the Cultivation of Harmonious Ecological Environment鈥.聽
Besides, four advisors will give lectures in Sun Yat-sen University, South China University of Technology and Guangzhou University town, according to Li.
