Shadow play puppets are on display at the Shenzhen Museum’s outlet on Tongxin Road. Shadow play is an ancient form of storytelling that uses flat articulated figures to create cutout figures that are held between a source of light and a translucent screen or scrim. The cutout shapes of the puppets sometimes include translucent colors.
