| With the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games fast approaching, Guangzhou has strengthened the crackdown on Olympic brand infringements. Soon, the Compendium of Intellectual Property Rights Protection between 2008 and 2010 in Guangzhou will be unveiled.
It is said that more Olympic brand infringement cases are likely to arise around the time when the Beijing Olympic Games are being held. Customs and government departments in charge of IPR protection will strengthen the crackdown and focus on monitoring border checkpoints and postal service inspection points.
