The 99th Chinese Export Commodities Fair (Canton Fair) opens this morning (Apr. 15th) in Guangzhou, capital of Guangdong province.

Huang Huahua, Governor of Guangdong said the province will, as always, support the Fair, and do the best to optimize the trade and living environment for the purchasers from home and abroad.

A total of 1586 enterprises join in the Guangdong delegation, up 6.6 per cent over the last session. Some 154 enterprises are the first time to attend the fair, which account for 9.8 per cent of the total enterprises of Guangdong delegation.
 
The private enterprises become the main force of Guangdong delegation, which are 857 in number and account for 54.7 percent of the provincial total. 

The fair is still held in two complexes including Liu Hua Complex and Pazhou Complex. The two complexes have different exhibition focuses in the first exhibition phase, which will run until April 20th.
