Shenzhen Curio World was built in 2002; it is the largest non-governmental curio world of top grade. It is the only specialized cultural market authorized to take charge of and trade cultural relics.

With a construction area of 60,000 square meters, it has 1000 exhibition halls, housing more than 100 elite collectors and assembling curiosities dating back to remote antiquity and down to present time, including white jade artifacts of each period, porcelain, painting and calligraphy, jade, jewelry, furniture of Qing and Ming Dynasties, coins from ancient times to the present day.

"Chinese Jade Kingdom", the largest ancient jade market and a non-governmental business, has a rich collection of quality jade articles while "Superb Jade Hall", the largest private jade collection hall, covers more than 1,000 square meters and stores more than 110,000 jade articles. The Curio World also has some halls run by Taiwanese, Hongkongnese and Chinese mainlander whose annual purchasing volume amounts to more than 50 million rmb.

Shenzhen Curio World has successfully held eight fairs on curiosity & jewelry, and three exhibitions on jade masterpieces.  In Nov. 2004 during the first ICIF, Shenzhen Curio World invested 38 million rmb to sponsor exhibition of Chinese quintessence and hold many auctions. The on-spot trade volume reached 150 million yuan.
Chinese quintessence show provides a high-classed exchange platform for insiders at home and abroad and its fame has carried far and wide, forming a competitive condition with Beijing and Shanghai Curio Worlds. Located along South Shennan Thoroughfare, it has become a distributing center of curiosities and artifacts for HK, Macao and Chinese mainland.
