Environment protection is one of the buzzwords during the two sessions 2017.
China’s government work report delivered by Premier Li this year has the largest amount of content on environment protection since 2010, showing the country’s determination on pollution control and prevention.
Premier Li stressed,“We will make our sky blue again.”
Chen Jining, Chinese Minister of Environmental Protection, praised the air condition in Guangdong and said it has the most obvious improvement with its PM2.5 density up to the standard for 2 consecutive years.
Apart from the air condition which was “liked” by the minister, Guangdong made obvious progress in water and soil conservation as well.
Lu Xiulu, head of Department of Environmental Protection of Guangdong Province, said that statistics shows Guangdong successfully protect the environment while maintaining its economic and social growth.
Lu introduced that Guangdong will further the win-win situation between environment and development through constructing the ‘green pilot areas’, facilitating the eco-environment protection system and continuously preventing air, water and soil pollution.
