“We have signed 7 cooperation contracts with 5 consultative agencies, and we reached multiple intensions of cooperation in the future.” Guangdong Governor Zhu Xiaodan together with six advisors, announced major achievements achieved at the 2015 International Consultative Conference on the Future Economic Development of Guangdong on November 19.
Zhu said the 20 government advisors had brought innovative thoughts and practical experience to the conference, and offer tailored, constructive and feasible proposal to the government on three different topics.
Intelligent Manufacturing in Guangdong

According to the governor, advisors proposed the implementation of intelligent manufacturing in pillar industry. They also suggested to promote the intelligent manufacturing based on the interconnection among subjects, services and people. In terms of the infrastructure, those advisors urged to develop it with intelligent software and hardware, and speeding up the building of the 5G-centered digital information technology infrastructure.
Advisor Mr. Claus V. Hemmingsen from Maeski told media that his company will strengthen cooperation with Guangzhou, helping the upgrade of Nansha port, extending Guangdong’s connection with the world, and offering better logistic service to the province. Yesterday they just sighed a memo with a local company.

Those 20 advisors have proposed to build a data-driven new value Internet, seeking for the cooperation on the whole value chain. Raising the working efficiency and enhancing the management of energy data are also caught advisors attention during the conference. Governor Zhu also said they provide feasible advices on how to reform modern logistics under the background of the development of cross-border e-commerce.
Advisor Mr. Rudolf Scharping from RSBK told media that Guangdong people are having stronger sense in innovation, and the government starts projects to support innovation. His suggestion is that Guangdong should educate people to embrace failure, to push forward the upgrade and transformation and to further reform the mechanism. Besides, he told media that Guangdong and Germany will have further international cooperation on Eastern, Western, Northern Guangdong as well as the transformation and upgrading of traditional industry.

On the perspective of creating innovative environment, consultants proposed to lower the threshold of entry, optimize the cooperative and innovative business environment, and promote market-oriented research. They also ask for the building of a talent service system, broadening the decisive role that market play in allocation of resources, and improving a society ruled by law.
Advisor Dr. Roland Busch from Siemens told media that China’s increasing awareness of R&D in industrial chain bring Siemens great opportunities to have win-win cooperation. Applying tech innovation to infrastructures can help build a more intelligent city and speed up the urbanization in China. When being asked about the advantage of Guangdong in investment and innovation environment, Advisor Dr. Roland Busch said that Guangdong has a strong government and a strong industries. And it also pay high attention to transformation and upgrade of its economy and does will in talent education and training.
“I’ve been impressed almost every time that Ive been here, because the way the governor and his team are open to the problem here.” Mr. Carl-Henric Svanberg, Chairman of BP p.l.c, praised the conference. “I think it (the ICCFED) is a very open agenda for change” he said.
