Nanhai government held the Foshan·Nanhai·Guicheng Investment Promotion Conference (hereinafter refers to Investment Promotion Conference)in Guangzhou Zhujiang New Town on March 30.
During the conference, Guicheng built up partnership with 10 international chambers of commerce. Enterprise Service Department Foshan Office and Foshan Investment Promotion Center of DTZ/Cushman & Wakefield announced its official opening.
Guicheng pointed out that it will strive to create a “Pearl River Delta Modern Producer Services Zone” which is integrated into the new pattern of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
Proposes investment targets in the next 5 years
On March 27, secretary of the CPC Foshan Municipal Committee Lu Yi highlighted the investment surrounding “Guangfo city” and Shenzhen “industry spillover effects”. Guicheng cooperates with Guangzhou Tianhe and connects with global resource, aiming to take full advantage of Guicheng’s industries and offer a platform for the integrated development of Guangfo city.
Guicheng proposes the investment targets in the conference that it will introduce 20 world top 500 and relevant enterprises, 100 international famous production service enterprises, striving to make Guicheng a comprehensive “Pearl River Delta Modern Producer Services Zone” with global resource, professional service, strong radiation ability and complete supporting facility.
Establish cooperative relations with 10 international chambers of commerce
Guicheng has responded actively to the international investment world by building partnerships with ten international chambers of commerce. Foshan Investment Center of DTZ/Cushman & Wakefield landed in Guicheng and came into service, which is believed to be a fast entry for outside capital industry going into Guicheng.
The ten chambers of commerce include the American Chamber of Commerce, British Chamber of Commerce, EU Chamber of Commerce, German Chamber of Commerce, French Chamber of Commerce, Business Council of Australia, Spanish Chamber of Commerce, Benelux Chamber of Commerce, SBTC, Spanish National League. Among all the chambers of commerce, many of them have already had a long-term relationship with enterprises in Foshan.
Laura ,CEO of South China Representative Office of Spanish Chamber of Commerce thought that Foshan has many industries in common with Spain, and the flourishing ceramic industry is an example. She believed that Spanish enterprises will step into a new stage in its investment in South China with the help of Foshan’s advantages in industry and location. Laura also expressed that Guicheng will be introduced to Spanish enterprises, making more enterprises settle in Guicheng.
Initiative in urban upgrading and improvement
Guicheng, located in the central area of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and seated near Guangzhou, has a huge development potential. In order to accelerate integration into Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and share the achievement of regional economic development, Guicheng will make itself a “Pearl River Delta Modern Producer Services Zone”.
The statistic shows that Guicheng has realized a regional GDP of 46.3 billion yuan ($6.73 bln) in 2016, among which the proportion of service sector reached 72.8%, equivalent to the first-tier cities of Beijing, Shanghai,Guangzhou and Shenzhen. Guicheng will deepen the development of Guangdong Financial High-Tech Zone, Pinghu Yingyue New City and Sanshan New City to build the axis of Pearl River Delta Modern Producer Services Zone.
