The blueprint of Foshan West Railway Station
Foshan West Railway Station will come into service on June 30. A countdown ceremony was opened on the spot of Foshan West Railway Station yesterday (March 30) in Nanhai. There more than 200 representatives from Guangzhou Railway Group, Foshan Railway Office, and relevant departments from Nanhai attended the countdown ceremony. Relevant construction parties sign a “Military Order” on the spot to promise to make Foshan West Railway Station come into service as planned.
Ensure its coming into service on schedule
The ceremony was hosted by director of management committee of Foshan high-tech zone and deputy secretary of the CPC Nanhai party committee Liu Taogen. The standing committee member of the CPC Foshan and secretary of the CPC Nanhai party committee Huang Zhihao attends the ceremony and makes a speech. Huang encourages relevant construction parties, representatives and all government departments in Nanhai to spare no effort in the project and make sure it could come into service as scheduled.
Foshan West Railway Station is a landmark project
Actually, Foshan West Railway Station which is defined as one of the passenger railway stations in Guangfo Metropolitan Area and Pearl River Delta Area will form a structure of “four main one auxiliary” with Guangzhou Railway Station, Guangzhou East Railway Station, Guangzhou South Railway Station and Guangzhou North Railway Station.
Foshan West Railway Station will bring in three national railways including Guiyang-Guangzhou high-speed railway, Nanning-Guangzhou high-speed railway and West Coast high-speed railway, two intercity railways including Guangzhou-Foshan-Zhaoqing railway and Guangfo loop line. In addition, Foshan West Railway Station as the departure and destination station of Guiyang-Guangzhou high-speed railway and Nanning-Guangzhou high-speed railway, it will build a railway of more than 10 km to connect Shenzhen and Maoming, the railway journey from Foshan to Maoming will shorten to 2 hours.
In the aspect of transport interchange, Foshan West Railway Station will build supporting infrastructures including airport bus field, long distance station, taxi field and bus field.
Huang Zhihao points out on the spot that Foshan West Railway Station locates in the center of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and it’s a symbolized project in the area.
Foshan will plan to build a Guangdong-Guangxi-Guizhou high-speed railway cooperation experimental zone with a total area of 92 square kilometers in Nanhai part of Foshan high-tech zone. Located in center of the experimental area, Foshan West Railway Station will be an important window of domestic and international association.
