Two Nobel Prize winners join Guangdong R&D pool

Guangdong will introduce the second batch of world top innovation experts and panels, among which two Nobel Prize winners were included. They are Craig Mello of the University of Massachusetts, winning the 2006 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine for discovering how to selectively silence genes that cause disease; and Jean—Marie Lehn, winning the 1987 Nobel Prize in Chemistry.

This time, Guangdong will add 17 experts and 20 teams to its R&D panel, covering various cutting edge R&D fields such as laser spectroscopy, auto manufacturing key technology, aqua biology, nanolux and original anti-inflammatory medication, civil electron accelerator, 3rd generation semiconductor silicon carbide material and facility, high end magnetic resonance imaging, cloud computing, etc.
