The first two sessions of the 107th China Import and Export Fair, or Canton Fair, has just closed. Both export volume and export prices have increased. More than 162-thousand overseas buyers visited the fair during the first ten days, up nearly 9 percent on last year. Export volume during that period exceeded 25 billion USD, a 7 percent increase.

Transaction volumes for Guangdong, Zhejiang and Jiangsu have almost returned to pre-crisis levels. International needs are recovering steadily. The export of both ordinary consumables and high-tech products is climbing in not only export volume, but also price. The online Canton Fair is also recovering. The website has had 90 million hits up by more than 4 percent.
