Guangzhou municipal government announced ceiling prices for hotels during Canton Fair yesterday, two weeks before the business event starts.

The ceiling prices for the upcoming Canton Fair Session remain the same as last year’s. The highest rate is RMB 3, 300 for business standard rooms in five-star hotels, while the lowest is RMB 505 for a standard room in a two-star hotel.

The hotel rate during the Canton Fair are the maximum rate allowed at any time during the year, but special suites and platinum five-star hotels are not included in the price controls.
