More joint promotions will be held with mainland's Guangdong Province and other cities to woo investment, said Hong Kong Secretary for Commerce, Industry and Technology Joseph Wong.
Wong told lawmakers on Wednesday that discussion with Guangdongon this year's cooperation plan had started.

A number of potential foreign investors have been identified from promotional activities jointly run with Chinese mainland provinces and cities. By the end of last year, 23 investment projects generated from such activities had been successfully completed, and another 81 projects were being pursued.

Apart from a promotion in Stockholm, jointly organized with Guangzhou, capital of Guangdong, this month, InvestHK will stage similar activities in Copenhagen with Guangdong's Dongguan City, and in Florence of Italy with Guangdong's Zhuhai City next month.

In May, InvestHK will join hands with Guangdong's Shenzhen and Jiangmen cities to hold promotions in Seoul of the Republic of Korea and San Diego of the United States. Activities will be held in Dusseldorf of Germany and Paris of France in September to attract investors in collaboration with Guangdong's Foshan City.

Wong said regular meetings with the Guangdong Department of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation were held to discuss the direction and mode of future cooperation.
