According to the Communications Department of Guangdong Province and Guangdong Communications Group, three outbound highways will be open to traffic tomorrow (28 December).
They are the highways which connect Guangdong and Jiangxi provinces, Chongqing and Zhanjiang cities and the Zhuhai section of the highway along the western coastline.
To mark the special occasion, a ceremony will be held in Heyuan city tomorrow.
By then, all 15 outbound highways from Guangdong Province will be fully constructed. The total length of the highways in Guangdong reaches 3,100 kilometers; there are 64.2-kilometres of highway per 100 square kilometers in the province.
It is expected that the newly completed highway network will further enhance Guangdong's transportation efficiency with other provinces and regions in the Pan-Pearl River Delta.
