Public health officials from Guangdong,聽Hong Kong and聽Macao will meet and discuss the trend of infectious diseases including influenza A/H1N1, according to Hong Kong government website Tuesday (Nov 10).
The medical experts will attend the Ninth Tripartite Meeting on the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases in Zhuhai, Guangdong, running from Nov 12 to 13.
During the two-day meeting, attendees will discuss public health issues of mutual concern including the overall situation and control and preventive measures on infectious diseases, monitoring of human swine influenza and anti-microbial resistance, and collaboration of medical and public health experts in the three places.
Led by Hong Kong's Director of Health PY Lam, the city's delegation will comprise representatives from Department of Health and Hospital Authority.
Guangdong delegation will be led by Director-General of Health Department of Guangdong Province Yao Zhibin and Macao's delegation will be headed by the Director of the Health Bureau of Macao Lei Chin-ion.
