Three-time world champion Yevgeny Plushenko of Russia clinched his fourth title in the men's event at the European figure skating championships in Turin, Italy, on Thursday (Jan 27).
Plushenko, 22, beat defending champion Brian Joubert of France into second place. The bronze went to Stefan Lindemann of Germany.
Plushenko, who won the silver medal in the last Olympics, trailed the Frenchman after the short program but caught up in the free skating at Turin's Palavela, the venue for the 2006 Winter Olympics.
