Music, painting, games or presents? What do children have in the coming Children's Day?

About 20 children in the in-patient department of Guangzhou Women and Children’s Medical Center have a very different event for the festival today (May 30) in advance with their Israeli friend, Elad Weingrod, an Israeli writer, who comes to Guangzhou for the first time with his book for children "Like You, Like Me". They sang, painted and played games together. "I think I am still innocent and childish in my deep heart", smiled him, adding he wished the children suffer less pressure and has more imagination.

"As a child, I always think there is someone on the earth that is similar to me." And the first thing came to his mind is China. Reading his poem to the children on this event, Elad Weingrod said he is deeply impressed by the education system in Guangzhou, especially on how the children behave and what they learn.

This event is followed by the opening of the Children's Library of Guangzhou Women and Children's Medical Center yesterday, which opened free for all the children in the in-patient department. "Such book reading event will be held again and volunteers from colleges will be recruited and trained for such event." said a staff responsible for the project in the Center.
