Baby monkeys, Monkey Island and the Year of Monkey

Over ten newly born baby monkeys on the Monkey Island of the Liuxi River National Forest Park, Conghua, Guangzhou, capital of South China's Guangdong Province, will celebrate the upcoming Children's Day, which falls on June 1st, together with the visitors to the Liuxi River Park.

There have been more than 100 macaques living and breeding freely on the island all year round since a Macaque Raising Scientific Base was established here in 1995, source releases. Thanks to the favorable ecological environment here, the macaques have a high survival rate of birth. May and June turn out the golden time for the birth of macaques in Conghua.

The healthy and lovely baby monkeys become a spotlight of the Liuxi National Forest Park, attracting a number of visitors, esp. children to come.
