Mainland actress Fan Bingbing headed to Hong Kong yesterday (Nov 7th) to join kung-fu star Donnie Yen for the sequel of "Sha Po Lang."

Fan revealed that she jokingly suggested she participate in the sequel when she saw Yen at the Hong Kong Golden Awards in April. To her surprise, the star later took her up on her offer.

Director Wilson Yip will once again work with Yen to produce the HK$8 million sequel.

Called "City With No Mercy," the film has been written by Kam Yuen-szeto, the co-writer of Johnnie To's "Exiled." It tells the story of two cops in Macao who are struggling to improve their partnership, which becomes strained after one starts undercover work.
