China Southern to fly with dreamliner

China Southern Airlines has recently announced the airline's and the country's first Boeing 787 passenger jet will arrive at the airline's Guangzhou base on June 2 and will soon be put into operation.According to the airline, Boeing 787 has solved the safety problem of the battery and obtained the approval of operation by Civil Aviation Administration of China on May 23, meaning the jet is qualified to fly in and around China.Soon after the approval was granted, China Southern sent a technical team to Boeing's Seattle headquarters for an acceptance check. After the check has been passed, the plane can be officially handed over to China Southern.According to the airline, the plane needs to pass another 25 hours of test-flights in China to obtain a qualification of aviation for the plane itself before it can be finally put into service. It will first be used for domestic flights.China Southern arranges four first-class seats, 24 business seats and 200 seats in the economy class, totaling 228 seats on the plane. It is painted with a special pattern in the theme of "Wings of Dream.”It is one of the first ten Boeing 787 jets the airline has procured. The rest of them will be put into service in the next two years.
