Shenzhen Yantian Port is very busy on August 7th and 9th, with 8 large modern container vessels parking at 3000-metre-long wharf line from the first berth to the eighth berth and over 30 quay cranes working.

Berth slams come one after one since the third 100,000-ton berth (eighth berth) of the Phrase III Project of Yantian Port begin test-running.

Because of the expanding of Guangdong's foreign trade, large container vessels anchoring in Yantian Port increase continuously in number. As a major international transit port in south China, Yantian has handled over 500,000 containers, a record-breaking number, in June. And for August to November is a peak season of cargo shipping, Yantian Port will fully show its ability in container handling.
