Guangdong Fashion Week was back in full swing between March 18th and 23rd, 2019. This year’s fashion week was attended by more than 300 institutions, platforms, brands and designers, showcasing fashion trends and new collections and facilitating conferences.

The closing ceremony of the event, also the Citizine Fashion Bomb Award, was held at the Guangzhou Liuhua Exhibition and Trade Center on the evening of 23rd March. Gathering over 1000 guests, the award ceremony gave its participants the chance to get to know more about the fashion industry and preview the season’s hottest trends, as well as watch the runway shows that decide which brands walk away with this season’s awards!

Newsgd.com fans had front row seats to get the first glimpse of the upcoming collections at the award ceremony. Our fans’ fashion was just as show-stopping as the intricate designs that came down the runway.

Beatrice, an Italian girl working in Shenzhen, made a special trip to Guangzhou to attend the event with her friend. They told us that they were very happy and thought the creations were amazing.

“I got to know some Chinese brands and the look and localisation of fashion which is good, unique, creative and fantastic,” said Elysées, an Indonesian student in Guangzhou, who had a blast at the show.

Guangdong Fashion Week, a major event in Guangdong’s fashion calendar, is co-hosted by Guangdong Fashion Designers Association and Guangdong Association of Garment and Garment Article Industry. It has been successfully held on 23 occasions since it was established in 2002. The event gives fashion lovers access to brand-new collections represented by local brand companies as well as independent designers with private labels.

The Citizine Fashion Bomb Award has been held in Guangzhou for five consecutive years now. This award is dedicated to the most cutting-edge resources and information, designs and products each year. This event is an effort to build up a platform for fashion lovers and professionals to communicate, striking a balance between fashion, business, trends and markets.
