The Consulate of Qatar in Guangzhou celebrated the Qatar National Day 2018 on December 11th, during which it announced the launch of “The Beauty of Silk Road” oil painting exhibition by Qatari artist Dr. Sheikha Nadia.
In November 2014, China and Qatar established a strategic partnership, which opened a new chapter in China-Qatar relations.
According to Guangdong government, Guangdong and Qatar have been continuously promoting exchanges and cooperation in various fields.
In 2017, the total trade between two places was about RMB 8.3 billion, up 28.74 percent year on year. From January to September this year, the total trade volume reached about RMB 6.5 billion, up 15.74 percent year on year.
With close economic and trade cooperation, Qatar and Guangdong are connected in a more convenient and efficient manner with daily international flights between Guangzhou and Doha.
