Spectacular light show illuminates Guangzhou

The 8th Guangzhou International Light Festival is being held at Huacheng Square, seven bridges spanning the Pearl River, Zhujiang New Town and a sub-exhibition-area in Huangpu district. Compared with previous sessions, drone performance is one of the highlights in this year’s event.

At the opening ceremony yesterday (November 26th), 300 illuminated drones were rising in the sky of Huacheng Square. They formed different shapes and characters to celebrate the city’s 40th anniversary of reform and opening-up.

Notice

The scheduled Guangzhou Tower lighting shows at Huacheng Square on November 27th, November 28 are cancelled while visitors can enjoy other shows as usual.

Since November 29th, if visitors want to attend the Guangzhou Tower lighting shows, they are required to make the reservations at least one day in advance through the official Wechat account (广州国际灯光节).
