A Hong Kong students work at an accounting firm in Guangzhou during the internship.
All 420 students from Hong Kong and Macao have finished their summer internship in Guangzhou. The last batch of them participated in an ending ceremony on August 24th, sharing what they have done and the fun stories during the one-month project.
Hua Yimei, Director of Guangzhou’s Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office, said the office provided 407 intern positions in 57 leading enterprises in such fields as accounting, finance architecture, hotel management and advertisement, and matched these positions with students majors this year.
“We hope students from Hong Kong and Macao could experience the local working environment and development through superior projects like this, and eventually they could participate in the construction of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Bay Area and the Belt and Road Initiative to share the opportunities popping up here,” said Hua Yimei.
