People's Qingming Festival holiday across China

China's fifth solar term, Clear and Bright, falls on April 5 this year, which coincides with a traditional Chinese festival, Qingming Festival, or Tomb-Sweeping Day.

Qingming Festival, known in English as Tomb-sweeping Day, is a time when Chinese pay tribute to their deceased family members and ancestors. During the same time, Chinese will also wear willow branches, take spring outings, fly kites and eat cold food, among other activities, during the festival.
