A tour show of New Vision of China Art 2018 kicked off its first stop in Beijing on Monday, bringing to limelight artworks of young Chinese artists.

Nearly 500 art pieces from 244 artists are featured at the exhibit, covering Chinese paintings, oil paintings, sculptures, calligraphy, photography and other art forms. With their adept skills, the young artists bring to life natural and urban sceneries, portraits of people from different walks of life and historical figures.

The tour exhibition is sponsored by China National Arts Fund (CNAF). Cai Wu, chairman of CNAF board of directors, said on Monday's opening that the fund has supported more than 4,000 projects since its establishment four years ago. "Among them, 837 projects were for young artists. This exhibition is a clustered display of these projects," he said.

The exhibition opens free to the public through March 20.

After Beijing, the exhibition will tour in 10 other cities, including eight in the Chinese mainland, as well as Hong Kong and Macao.
