Set in unique Lingnan gardens, and the heart of Lingnan culture, the 2018 Guangzhou Floating Flower Market kicked off at Litchi Bay on Feb. 10, presenting a special and traditional floating flower fair.
At the opening ceremony, there were various folklore performances, including lion dance, ‘fairies’ scattering flowers, Ansai waist drum, and ‘fire dog dance’.
After the exciting opening ceremony, the floating flower market will be open to the public for free until Feb. 15, 2018, presenting Piaose + Canton Embroidery performances on Feb. 12, a ‘blind date’ party on Feb. 14, a cultural heritage exhibition, Cantonese Opera performances and more during the event.
