The press conference held in Longgang.

KOOZA, one of the most classic shows of Cirque Du Soleil, has embarked on a tour of six cities in China, according to a press conference in Longgang earlier this week.

The show is aimed at providing local audiences with the opportunity to enjoy a cultural and visual feast, according to Rongde Culture that has been in talks with Canada’s Cirque Du Soleil for a year to bring the show to Chinese audiences.

KOOZA, dubbed as “a must-see performance” by overseas media, is a return to the origins of Cirque Du Soleil that combines two circus traditions — acrobatic performance and the art of clowning.

Hu Gengxiang, head of the Publicity Department of the Longgang District Committee of the CPC, said Cirque du Soleil performance will not only enrich people’s lives but also establish a platform for exchange between international counterparts in the culture and art industry.

Cirque Du Soleil, from Montreal, has performed in 450 cities in 60 countries. Before coming to Shenzhen, it had already given over 100 performances in Beijing and Shanghai. The Shenzhen show, which lasts for one month, will bring 40 performances with 120 performers in March.
