The Mid-Autumn Festival, the 15th day of the eighth month on China’s lunar calendar, falls on Wednesday Oct. 4 this year. It is an occasion for family gatherings and well-known as the time to eat mooncakes.

Before and after the Mid-Autumn Festival, to admire the beautiful full moon is always the highlight of this festival. It is reported that the fullest moon around Mid-Autumn Festival appears at 2:40 am on October 6, the 17th day of the eighth month on China’s lunar calendar.
