Situated 65 kilometers north of Macau, Zhongshan in southern China's Guangdong province is well-known as the birthplace of Sun Yat-sen, first president and the founding father of the Republic of China. But few know it is also the Capital of Lighting in the country. As China's largest manufacturer of light fixtures and the venue of biannual International Lighting Fair, the town is determined to create a Chinese equivalence of Lyon Festival of Lights.
