Yesterday (January 10) tourism representatives from Southeast Asian countries encouraged Guangdong travelers to visit Southeast Asia.
The Tourism representatives came from several Southeast Asian countries including Sri Lanka, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia, which were hardest-hit during the earthquake and tsunamis.
These countries sent out a message at the conference that it's safe to travel to Southeast Asian countries. Tourism facilities, including scenic spots, airports and restaurants have completely returned back to normal. In order to re-boost the market, key travel companies in Guangzhou are promoting low-price routes to Southeast Asian countries. A 6-day tour to Thailand only costs less than 2000 yuan.
