Guangzhou Metro officials helped two Nigerian nationals recover 100,000 USD cash on May 22 at the Jiahewanggang Station of the Guangzhou Metro.

On May 22 at 5:15 pm, two Nigerian businessmen reported lost luggage that contained 100,000 USD to metro officials at Jiahewanggang station. Station chief Dai Yajun asked nearby metro stations to track the lost money which was then recovered within two hours.

According to police officials, the lost luggage was found at Airport South Station. Police confirmed that there were two bundles of 100-dollars sealed with yellow tape in the lost luggage. At 7:05 p.m., the lost luggage was returned to the foreign passengers who smiled and said, “Chinese are very good!” giving a thumbs up to metro and police officials.
