After the tours to Pearl River Delta East Bank and East Guangdong, the consulate officials in Guangzhou will visit west Guangdong tomorrow. The itinerary includes three cities, Maoming, Zhanjiang and Yangjiang.

The tour organizer, Guangdong Foreign Affairs Office, said the visit is dedicated to help the consulate generals and the west Guangdong cities to enhance exchanges, and will focus on introduction of the three cities’ petrochemical, steel, agriculture and tourism projects. Besides, the tour will also have a chance to know more about local folk culture and the people’s daily life. 35 officials from 19 consulate generals will join the tour.

In the first half of this year, three new consulate generals open in Guangzhou, including Israel, Spain and Ethiopia. So far, Guangzhou has 36 consulate generals. It is estimated that by the end of this year, there will be nearly 40.
