Guangzhou-Foshan metro line 2 starts construction in 2015

The Guangzhou-Foshan metro line 2 will start construction in 2015 and start service in 2020. [Souther Metropolis Daily photo]

The Guangzhou-Foshan metro line 3 will start construction in 2010 and open to public in 2016. [Souther Metropolis Daily photo]

Under the government guideline of GuangFo (Guangzhou and Foshan) city integration, the Guangzhou-Foshan metro line 2 will start construction in 2015 and start service in 2020, Guangzhou Daily reports.

Moreover, the Guangzhou-Foshan metro line 3 will start construction in 2010 and will be completed in 2016.

The future Foshan city commutation plan will include 6 inter-city metro lines, as well as 2 metro lines linking Guangzhou.

The GuangFo metro will be the first inter-city rail in China.
