| Eighteen participants of past Olympic and Asian Games were recently invited to have a meeting with the Guangzhou Asian Games Organizing Committee (GAGOC) at Guangdong Vocational Institute of Sport and give suggestions on how to provide excellent accommodation, catering and transportation services to athletes and technical officials from different countries and regions.
Famous athletes, judges and technical officials from Guangdong Province such as Li Shanshan, Hu Jia, Lao Lishi, Lin Ying, Yang Hai and Lin Zhiwen were present at the meeting, exchanging ideas on a wide range of issues with officials of GAGOC鈥檚 Games Services Department. On the basis of their personal experiences in previous Games, they raised a large number of enlightening and practical points regarding accommodation, catering and transportation services, among other things.
GAGOC will study the experience of past international sports events and endeavor to present a successful Asian Games with first-class services and unique local characteristics.
