From August 1 to 4, Guangzhou will host the Olympic Scientific Congress, with a theme of "sport science and harmonious society in 21st century." It is the first time for the Olympic Scientific Congress to unite four international organizations of ICSSPE (International Council of Sports Science and Education), FIMS (Federation of Medical Science), IOC (International Olympic Committee) and IPC (International Paralympic Committee). Around 2,500 experts on sports science are to attend the Congress.
