A Santa Claus from California hands out gifts to guests at Crowne Plaza Shenzhen Hotel yesterday to celebrate Christmas. Many other hotels in Shenzhen, such as Kempinski, Shangri-La, Marco Polo and The Pavilion, staged Christmas parties to entertain expatriates and local residents. Shopping centers were also in a festive mood to woo shoppers who are increasingly willing to spend more on the Western festival. (Shenzhen Daily)
