Guangdong Governor meets reporters from BBC

Huang Huahua, Governor of Guangdong province, has an interview with reporters from BBC's (British Broadcasting Corporation) English, Chinese and Vietnamese Services and answers their questions about Guangdong's social and economic development, in the government building this afternoon (October 25).

First, Huang Huahua gave a brief on Guangdong's latest social and economic development to the reporters, and said the province is facing both challenges and opportunities now and Guangdong will spare no effort in its development and continue optimizing its economic structure, shifting its growth mode, enhancing its innovation power, deepening its structure adjustment and furthering its open up to the outside world.

Guangdong will follow the principle "building the harmonious society in scientific way" and continue to run as a mirror for the whole China in building a well-off society.

Meanwhile, when answering reporters' questions, Huang listed Guangdong's achievement in promoting balanced regional developments, environmental protection, resource saving and building a harmonious society as well as the measures the province are going to take.

At the invitation of the Information Office of Guangdong People's Government, the BBC reporting team have a-week-long trip in Guangdong to explore topics involving economic development, environmental protection, social life and education, and interviewed the local leaders, residents, corporations and schools.
