Guangdong are calling ships back to harbors and evacuating people to brace themselves for the upcoming typhoon Kaemi. By Tuesday afternoon, over 11,398 vessels returned to harbors, and 45592 people on board were transferred to safer places.
Kaemi landed in Fujian at 3 pm yesterday and brought rainstorm to the eastern coastal areas in Guangdong, which were just severely hit by Bilis after July 14. Guangzhou, the Capital of Guangdong province, will have heavy rain in the coming three days.
The eastern Chaozhou, Shantou and Jieyang cities were severely hit by rainstorm yesterday, the local governments warned people to watch out for flood and landslide.
