The Guangdong 2005 International Tourism and Culture Festival had closing ceremonious performances yesterday evening in Guangzhou.

Started with the closing speech made by Governor Huang Huahua, the one-hour performance was colorful and passionate, combining fireworks, water screen movie, parachute jump, dragon boat match, laser show, etc..

Lingnan Folk Art Performance

The 17-day tourism gala offered local people and visitors more than 60 large-scale activities, including the Lingnan Folk Art Performance, the Guangdong International Gourmet Festival, and the Asia Bavarian Beer Festival.

A series of activities make the tour destinations and local culture of Guangdong more famous. These include Danxia mountain, Hakka Manor House, Kaiping watch tower, custom of Yao village, Guangdong opera.

International tourism promoted

The festival attracts tourism officials from many foreign countries.

Source says that projects mainly covering make holiday and modern entertainment with the investment of 1.629 billion USD were signed during the festival.
