Dr. Bullinger, President of Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft and Guangdong Governor Huang Huahua's advisor, arrived Guangzhou yesterday (Nov 13). He was the first advisor arriving the capital city of Guangdong to attend the 2005 plenary of the International Consultative Conference on the Future Economic Development of Guangdong Province (GDICC), which will open on Nov 17.

Dr. Bullinger said in the airport that he brings proposals on Guangdong's energy, environmental protection and transportation this time to help the province to enhance its capacity of sustainable development. He also mentioned that Guangdong need to improve its higher education sector so as to produce more talents for the province's innovation power enhancement campaign.

On Nov 14 and 15, Dr. Bullinger will attend seminars on modern logistics and manufacturing, a Sino-German technology cooperation contract signing ceremony and the "GDICC 2005" golf match.

The upcoming GDICC 2005 plenary will focus on Guangdong's sustainable development. A total of 13 advisors and 11 observers will attend the brainstorming meeting.
